Your Early Pregnancy Scan
No matter if you do it because you don’t know how far along in the pregnancy you are, or you have had some problems in the past, or you simply too excited to wait for the 12 week scan, booking an early pregnancy scan is always a good idea. Also, lack of professionalism, comfortability and personal care are never part of our clients’ worries, here at Baby Scan Clinic in Glasgow.
What to expect on the day
Your first contact with your baby is very important for the doctors at the Baby Scan Clinic, and that is why we can assure you that your experience will imply gentle and friendly sonographers who will check if you are pregnant, who will make sure that your baby or babies are doing fine and that they are as healthy as can be. Also no part of this process will imply uncomfortable moments such as cold ultrasound gel being applied on you.
The development of your baby will be recorded on printed reports, which you can later take home with you, along with two wonderful pictures of your scan.
If by any chance, a clear and accurate measurement cannot be done, you may request a transvaginal probe.
If necessary, you may always ask your sonographer for any further explanations.
Preparing for your scan
In the process of getting ready for your scan you should not worry about anything you eat or drink, and also you may wear any clothes you wish to wear. (However trousers or a skirt with a top are preferable). What you must do before your scan is drink some water and avoid going to the ladies room until after your examination.
